COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lakewood is more than a place. It’s a state of mind. Old blends with new. Traditions hook up with fresh ideas. It’s the same with our Lakewood Lager. We’ve taken old world Vienna-Style lager and given it our own touch. Subtle caramel aromas, a coppery pour and a light malty sweetness paired with noble hop bitterness set this beer apart. In with the old, in with the new.

Pretty basic lager to me. I'm not gonna go out of my way to find it. Just light plain drink, nothing special ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the 12 FL oz bottle dated 10/5/16. Reasonably fresh. Attractive amber pour with off-white head. The aroma brings out some caramel malt sweetness as it should with a woody character and Mild earthy hop note. Medium body. The taste is both sweet and bitter at the end. Lingers some. But I also pick up a distracting vegetable oil mess.

Draft at the Grand Lux Cafe in the Galleria in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a slight haze copper reddish with a small, well formed white head. The aroma is sweet caramel malt, along with a hint of grassiness. The taste is nice bread malt up front, turning to the caramel malt which also shows some apple fruit sweetness. There is a touch of the grass in the finish. The palate is medium to light bodied, active carbonation, clean dry finish. Easy drinking, solid Amber Lager.

This is one of the best Vienna Lagers I’ve ever had. Pours dark amber with a lasting head. Nice malt aroma of biscuit and caramel malts. Medium body with an excellent hop balance with the malt showcasing this beer. An excellent example of this style.

On tap at Stanleys. Pours a hazy copper with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is toasted malt and caramel. Medium mouth, rich malt, caramel, light finish, decent.

Can. Pours a very dark amber with a high, mashed-potato, lacy, light cream head. Nose is caramel, butterscotch, wheat bread dough, barley syrup, and roast pecans. Drier on the tongue, with a roast nut and wheat toast smokiness; firm body and layered complexity. This is not a simple lager, and if you’re looking for fizzy yellow stuff look elsewhere. Finish is long, with both toffee sweetness and mushroomy earthiness. Lovely, but almost a style-breaker.

Draft at WF Back Porch during SB50. Nice caramel color with a white head and decent lacing. Lightly sweet caramel aroma. The flavor starts with malt and finishes with some light bitterness. Okay.

Deep Amber, thin head. Malty with mild hops. A little sweet up front with a little bit of a hoppy finish. Not bad.

Draft. Pours golden brown with a thin white head that dissipates. Medium carbonation over very little aroma. It's like Sam Adams light. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark amber in color... Aroma of soap, Vienna malts... Flavor of biscuity and caramel malts, lots of breast and fruity notes... Hint of pepper and sugar on finish... Average ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
