On tap at Live Oak. Brown pour with a big tan head. Aroma is lots of baking spice, caramel, and brown sugar. Taste is almost smokey, more pumpkin pie, and a weird finish.

Lots of spice. Malty sweetness. Dark root beer color with a thick foamy light tan head. Fair retention. Leaves a thin film on the glass. Earthy. Grassy. Nice spice balance. Not as much as on the nose. Soft mouthfeel. Some roasty malt and a clean slightly bitter finish. Not bad. dlihcsnatas (738) - Temple, Texas, USA - JAN 17, 2016
Dark brown brew that smells of spice. Taste is very spicy with a little bit of sweetness hiding in there. Very good brew and one that I hope to get more during October instead of January. Even though I am a little late it was still very satisfying on this chilly day. degbert (1772) - Austin, Texas, USA - OCT 6, 2015
Bottle. Pours a deep brown with red highlights and a medium, mixed-grained, cinnamon-colored head. nose is roast, black tea, vanilla, pie spice, and brown sugar. Not very sweet on the tongue; this is more about a gentle touch of spice and vanilla overlaid on a well-made dunkel, rather than an overwhelmingly pie-like beer. Light and caramel-like; a nice change from heftier beers common to this time of year. Finish is clean, a bit sweet, and caramel. Good. gringo332 (639) - Richardson, Texas, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Pours a deep orange body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, pumpkin, and brown sugar. Flavor of brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, light cocoa, caramel, and raisins. crajun (1226) - , Texas, USA - SEP 30, 2014
Bottle to glass. Very dark dirty brown pour definitely more of a dunker than pumpkin beer. Not much aroma. Taste was malt with slightest of spice at very end

Bottle. The look is a reddish brown with garnet tinges, beige ok head, and and dark. The smell is pumpkin pie, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, sweet, ok, but a little much. The taste is smoother, spiced, choppy. A little up and down. Ok had better had worse. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JUL 16, 2014
Bottle: When drinking this one I think of some old and stale Chicken in a Biscuit crackers. Pumpkin spices are too light. Has a bit of roasted character to it. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Thin finish, pale spices, pale roasted malts, but clean otherwise. Pretty much a snoozer. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 5, 2014
Pours a darker orange color with off-white head. Pumpkin pie spice on the nose, with some pumpkin and caramel malt notes; follows onto the palate. Finishes sweet. skinnycheeks (31) - - FEB 1, 2014

6-pack picked up at Cheers with Zac. I was surprised by the lower ratings here because for me this was a nice pumpkin brew. I liked how it wasn’t just overpowering spice. This had some of the vegetal pumpkin notes to add some depth. Plus the base dunkel was nice too. I would happily buy this each fall/winter.
