In summer, Belgians head to the nearest beach, while Texans typically race towards the nearest source of shade. That’s because the European sun is far friendlier than the fiery ball glowing over the Lone Star State. Combat the heat with our Zomer Pils. Brewed with Belgian pilsner malt and noble hops, this traditional pilsner is light, crisp, and refreshing. So let that sun keep on burning.

Tragedy struck tonight as my taste of this beer was lost to the floor. Luckily a savior swooped in and split the remainder with me. I'm glad he did as this was a delicious pils with quite a good flavor. I'm gonna have to find it again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Pours clear yellow with a one finger head. Grassy and floral aroma, flavor is light but well balanced pils. Light hoppyness with the noble earthy crisp finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy yellow gold with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is grass, floral, pineapple. Medium body, juicy, grass, pineapple, light bitterness, very good.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of SecretSanta! Clear golden, thin frothy off-white head. Decent retention. Aroma of pale malt, white bread, grassy hops, a bit of caramel. The taste is grassy hops, pale doughy malt. Thin-medium bodied, simple, well balanced.

Clear brilliant golden with a thin foamy white head. Brilliant thick pilsener and biscuity malt aroma. The flavor is a bit dry and over-biscuity yet full of Pilsner grains. Mediumish flavor with a toasty malt and a bit of grassiness. A bit average but flawless nonetheless.

Bottle to glass. Meh. Grain standard pilsner. Not much in aroma and taste was slightly bitter and didn’t add value

Pours clear golden with a large white head. Smells surprisingly hoppy. Taste is bitter and crisp. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and active mouth-carbonation, Lakewood Zomer Pils finishes with an active crispness.

Pershing (560) - Garland, Texas, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Clear yellow with a lasting head. Lots of visual carbonation in the form of tiny bubbles. I can’t quit make out the nose. Close to a traditional pils. Light body with a grainy taste. This one is a little sweeter than I expected. Pretty much spot on for an average pilsner except for the aroma.

dyetube (1378) - Hurst, Texas, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Bottle from Krogers. pours a dirty yellow with a thin white head. The aromas are skunk, lemon zest, leather. The mouthfeel is dry watery and has a medium body and good carbonation. Very spot on for a pilsner. Cheers!

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Cereal grains are mainly on the nose with just a hint of grass; follows onto the palate. Nice and light for a hot day.
