mmmeinike (223) - Odense, DENMARK - MAR 13, 2017
Mørk dubbel med kort hvidt skum. Duft af malt og alkohol. Tørret frugt og sprittet smag.

Calisky (2961) - ALSACE, FRANCE - OCT 13, 2013

Hugi (475) - Waldkirch, GERMANY - DEC 15, 2012
Dark chestnut coloured, full tanned but coarse and quite instable head. Smell of sherry, malty and nuts. Taste is malty, sweet, plum. Medium bitterness, medium boddy with a bitter-sweet finish

erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - NOV 7, 2012
Brown bodied with lively carbonation and bubbly tan head. Mild aroma, bready, nutty, light yeast and little hops. Really not very rich. Taste is more pronounced, somewhat burned and with some caramel. Heavy carbonation dims this a bit but I don?t mind that too much. Alcohol well hidden. Very Belgian and an okay attempt. (On bottle at l’Academie de la Biere)

vipinvelp (4473) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - AUG 4, 2012
Dark ruby with off-white foam head lacing to glass. Aroma is caramel, sugary malt. Taste is that of a typical brune, bit too sweet. Aftertaste is lasting caramel. (Velp 201208) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

zvikar (6198) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - JAN 31, 2012
At the warm beer tasting, thanks Dagan, pours clear brown with a small head, aroma of honey, glue, raisins, plums, plum liquor, wax, flavor of wax, dates, plums and fruity notes, medium bodied.

kerenmk (4802) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JAN 23, 2012
Bottle sample as "L’Alsacienne Biere Du Gambrinus Brune" at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Dagan. Pours cloudy brown + some foam. Coca Cola and liquorice aroma, bitter, anisette taste. Liquorice aftertaste and flat. Take out the anise and you’ll get a fairly nice beer.

DSG (14922) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JAN 20, 2012
Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Dagan. As "L’Alsacienne Biere Du Gambrinus Brune". Brown-colored with a beige head. Aroma of lots of licorice and a bit of malt. Licorice flavor with a bit of caramelly malt and fruity notes. Light to medium-bodied. I hate licorice.

oldrtybastrd (5003) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 15, 2011
Pours a hazy medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty. Flavor is moderately sweet, alcoholic, roasty dark. Not nearly as good as some of the other Abbey Dubbels I’ve had recently.
