COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Porpora is an interesting Bock hopped with Styrian Golding, Perla and Cascade and dry hopped with Styrian Golding.
Lager in the Hopped Bock style. Bright red colour with ruby reflections. On the nose, caramel notes are neat and followed by clear herb notes from hoppers, finally surmounted by winy and dried fruit scents. It tastes of syruped fruit but it never becomes sickly, thanks to the perfect balance ensured by the hopper. As a whole, this beer has an extraordinary balance which makes it extremely easy to drink. 18°

Draft sample at Olympen in Oslo. Hazed dark brown with a tan head. Fruity and lightly herbal hops in the nose with cookie batter and baked bread crust malt. Rich melanoidin full body is chewy and sweet and matched well by carbonation and acidity. Mostly clean, lightly spicy / peppery, the Cascade give it a distinct pine and orange note and the bitterness also gives it away as a new world hop. Overall a respectable dunkler bock.

Clear dark amber color, thin off white collar. Nutty nose with milk chocolate, caramel and a slight bit of floral hops. Taste is milk chocolate, caramel, licorice, and roasted malts. Not real hoppy in the tasty but pretty pleasant and easy to drink. Slightly sweet in the feel but off setted well by the hops and licorice root. Medium feel, low carbonation.

Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has good toasted caramel, chocolate, liqourice. Fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Nice.

Hazy pour, thin head, fantastic aroma from the hops, bitterness compliments the sweetness. A very complex bock. Nice!

Red brown colour. Texture is really rich, smooth and creamy. Quite a sweet malty taste with caramel then a touch of bitterness in the finish. Hop comes through in the aftertaste quite well.
