Ale in Belgian Strong Golden Ale style.Orange coloured. On the nose, it features caramel notes followed by interesting citrus, yellow fruit and tropical fruit scents, deriving from the use of New Zealand hopper. In the mouth, it has a neat fruity apricot and pineapple taste followed by a slight bitter taste. 16°

Wrong bottle, re-rate needed. Sour, champagne-like aroma and taste. Hazy amber beer with small white head.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2012 Golden brown with small white head. Champagne, from white grapes, juniper berry. It’s clearly off. Especially the sour taste shouldn’t be there, as well as the dryness. (At De Molen tasting) Update: Had a fairly fresh one this time, Looks the same: golden with bubbly small white head. Grapes still, fresh oranges, some spices and a light malty back bone. Nice, light sweet. Develops a bit in the mouth. Pretty smooth, light sweet taste with enough flavour. A decent beer after all! (On tap at Italian beer bar in Valencia)

Bottle at the first monthly beer tasting @ De Molen hosted by dEnk. Clear golden pour, thin white head. Aroma is dusty, slightly spicy and sour apple. Flavor is very sour, grainy and definitely infected.

Bottled. Slightly hazy golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is yeast, fruits, mild alcohol along with mild sourness as well. Flavour is sour wood, fruits, mild alcohol as well as some sweet malts. Quite one-dimensional.

from erzbierschif.ch - cloudy amber-orange beer under a huge creamy pale beige foam; superb lace; aroma of yeast, cinnamon, apricot and peaches; juicy palate and medium-bodied; the sweetness dominate with just a late orange-ish bitterness/sourness to bring some balance; the finish is peachy with residual sugars and more notes of cinnamon

Weniger gut. Test vom 13.8.2008, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 12,8,8,7,-,8 - 8,26

Embrouille (2853) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 11, 2011
Bottled 75cl. It pours a hazy deep golden beer with a creamy nicely lasting lacing off white head. The aroma is reminiscent of bubblegum, ginger, wet dog, grain and yeast. Sweet. Medium to full bodied. Low bitterness. Residual sugars in the finish which is rather grainy.

Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 27, 2010
Cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of exotic fruit and citrus. Sweet fruity flavour with a nice hoppy finish. Well balanced

[750ml bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk] Clear gold with a fluffu white head – heavy sour aromas on the nose, some lacto spoilage? Seems like it wasn’t the best – but other comments here suggest that might be the actual aroma. Some brett flavours, a sourness is definitely there – although not major enough to seem like an aged beer. Not that great [14112010]

bottle at home ... golden yellow ... lagery grassy nose ... light tart lemon ... light yeast .. lagery finish ... blah ... dull .. and ligth sour...
