Amber-orangeish color, with a frothy white head, leaving good lacing. The nose is one of a fruity floral hops, with a hint of grassy note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp fruity, and nice floral hops character, with some zesty citrusy and leafy notes from the hop, leading towards a good hops bittering finish. collieman (191) - montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 11, 2005
This is kinda...... diffrent. It’s like a very rich lager. Pours a dark honey gold with a tight head and some nice laceings. Carbonation is high, leading to a very dry and refreshing, though just a little viscous, mouthfeel. The Aroma is wheaty. Taste was biscuity malt and slightly lemony, with a light acidic touch. Undertones are wheaty, a little toasty, and it all ends with a lightly bitter finish. Aftertaste is fruity, yeasty and a splash of spice. Not realy my cup of tea, but then if I want a lager, I’m gona walk the 5 mins to le cheval blanc. Good, but not great. Cheers Sammy (12210) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 10, 2005
Dark yellow with a head and leaving lace. Good carbonation. Some wheat felt giving some creaminess. You don’t come here for lager, TaktikMTL (7798) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 3, 2005
(Rating #332) CapFlu (5127) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 16, 2005
(Draught) I cannot say that this beer really fits the style and I have little experience with authentic Danish micros but I found this to be an excellent draught bee. It held some good malt notes of biscuit and caramel yet a slender lemony-fruit walked into the picture producing a somewhat bitter finish. Hey if I was forced to choose a lager to drink all weekend - I would definitely consider this.

Pours a clear blonde color with a medium white head. Aroma of toasted malt and citrus. Flavor of toasted malt and citrus with a bitter finish. Light body with lively carbonation. Hmm interesting lager but I’m used to better than this from l’Amère à boire. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 18, 2005

Blades of grass amongst the hay, with a bowl of milk-covered cereal not too far away.
Quite malt-accented but also watery and way too light, with a crisp dryness. According to my fellow tasters, my sample is nowhere near the quality of what they had had a few days prior.
A quiet moment of indecision.
Toasty malt nose is simple, pleasant and inviting. Clear blonde body is topped with a generous white head that recedes to lasting cover with excellent lacing. Toasty cereal malts with fair herbal, hay-like hop flavour and light finishing bitterness. Light body with decent crisp carbonation. A very refreshing summer lager. On tap at the brewpub.
