Reddish amber. Rather sweet and intensely roasty with rounded, clean mouthfeel. Low-medium bitterness. A near perfect copy of Starobrno’s Cerveny Drak.
On tap at L’Amère à Boire, pours a clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is pretty bland, with bready malts and light herbal notes. Flavour is a bit fruity, with dry bready malts. Slightly more exciting than the Vollbier, with the added fruitiness. Decent, but still bland. Oakes (18517) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 19, 2001
Like a strong Vienna - various amber malts, toasty flavours, crackerlike finish.
