blankboy (7735) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 18, 2010
Draught at L’Amère à Boire. Pours a slightly hazy orange-copper with a small creamy white head. Aroma of caramel malt, toasted grain, Euro hops and fruit. Flavour of caramel malt, a decent amount of hops and some fruit. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

garthicus (2937) - Dublin, IRELAND - APR 23, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Appearance: dark orange almost brown with a small white head. Aroma: hints of strawberry, yeast and a good deal of malt, a little nutty too. Flavour: vanilla and grass, lots of yeast, lots of carbonation on the tongue. Long malty finish.

j12601 (12982) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - APR 11, 2009
On tap at L’Amere a Boire. Poursa slightly hazy reddish amber with a medium white head. Nose is slightly burnt/toasted grain, and sweet malt. Thin to medium bodied and malty. Ends with a light bitterness, and the Hallertau hops really come out here, which, in my opinion is not so good. One of my least favorite hop varities.

LadySusan (766) - Ste-Therese, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 18, 2008
On tap at L’Amere a boire. The color is a dark amber and beige head. The aroma is of malt and grains. The taste also of malt with some hops and very much of graines with just a bit of bitterness at the end.

Nice amber color, a good dose of hops, with minimal hops, a decent beer, but really nothing special.

[508-20070811] Tap @ L’Amère à Boire (Montréal, QC). Sweet fruit floral aroma. Clear, red amber body with a medium-lasting creamy white head and some lacing. Strong hops flavour with more floral fruit. Medium-full body is slightly astringent. Interesting to try, though maybe not make an evening of it.

larsga (7608) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 9, 2007
Small offwhite creamy head, orange body. Roasty tea and honey taste with spicy cinnamon notes. Peas and grass. Has kind of an edge to it. Dry grassy resin aftertaste. Excellent! (0.133l draft.)

Robe rousse voilée surmontée d’une mousse beige en dentelle qui persiste. Arômes de malt et de houblon amérisant. Saveurs de malt caramélisé et de houblon amérisant fruité et herbacé.

5 oz. sampler at the brewpub. App.: med. reddish-amber, light copper, clear. Aroma: some fruity male, a vague hint of hops, cherries, apricots and little else...tight! Palate: med. body and soft carbonation. Flav.: a nice helping of citrusy, resinous hops with a solid malt backdrop. A bit of dried fruit and cherries. A bit of a let-down when swallowed--thin, bitter, watery and lacking balance due to malt absence. A hint of roasted malt and alcohol to finish. Better than the first two samplers, but still not great!
