Deep dark amber, nice fluffy white head. Fruity hoppy aroma. Flavour is hoppy with a nicely balanced malty backbone. Bitter finish that sticks around. One of Amere’s best.

Rocky and frothy good white beige head, lacing, mostly lasting. Clear of apperance thin to average red brown body. Heavy complex malt aroma, toasted, nutty, caramel. Light to moderate hops, a bit floral (resin?). Presence of fruits on the nose. Initial moderated sweet flavor a little light hops. Moderated sweetness and moderated bitterness in finish of average duration. Medium body, a little bit syrupy, lively carbonation. Light to moderate alcoholic finish. Tasted on tap at the brewpub in a small tasting glass, 5th of 10 beer in this session (18 november 2004).

(Draught) Thin almond head and an orange body. Mild perfume of hops and citrus. Mossy flavour, watered whiskey with a bitter-dry finish...

Hmmm, fin de siècle, a classic and a regular at l’Amère à boire. Nice hops and caramel aroma. Flavor of hops and caramel. Finish of hops that lasts and lasts ans lasts like the Energizer bunny ! Very enjoyable beer !

The body was dark orange with a near copper tint. There was a white head. The aroma was walnuts with some tea. There was also some fresh cut wood. The taste was bitter with some tea and bread crust. There was also some grapefruit.

Copper-red color with medium lasting head. Lightly fruity with nice balance between alcohol and aftertaste (warming effect).
