Nice dark amber body topped with an average off-white frothy head. Well balanced malty aroma with herbal and flowery hints. Good hoppy taste that ends with a fairly bitter finish. This is a good Vienna, but there’s nothing to be particularly excited about.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Roasted malty and slight breadish to caramelish. Bitter and slight hoppy to mild grassy. Sweet and toasted malty finish.

I didn’t know what this is classified as when I had it but thought it may be an altbier. Smells a bit musky. Taste is pretty bitter - surprising because aroma has a lot of caramel in it but there isn’t any sweetness in taste. Pours orange clear. On tap at brewpub.

On tap @ L’Amère à Boire. Clear amber with a small white head and some lacing. Aroma of caramel, cereals, malt and light fruits. Taste is slightly to moderately sweet and about the same as aroma. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Ok beer, but nothing outstanding.

Sampled draught at the brewpub.
Clear amber. Swet and generously malty with rounded, clean, solid mouthfeel. Grassy finish with some bitterness. Good, but needs softer mouthfeel to become excellent.

Miguel (1181) - Saint-Ours, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 25, 2007
Robe rouge très claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche en dentelle. Arômes légers de soufre et de malt. Saveurs légères de malt et de houblon floral.

Looks darker than expected, get a whiff of unusual toffee. Nice balance in aroma and taste, a bit creamy and spicy with some nice pale fruit.
