COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Originally brewed by Thwaites, the brand was contract brewed at Marston’s Wolverhampton plant (Banks’s) from 2013, then bought completely by Marston in March 2015. The brand initially continued to be sold under the Thwaites name and logo, but by 2016 the Thwaites name had been dropped.
"This rich amber beer is brewed with only the finest English ingredients. A prominent hop aroma and bitterness throughout is finely balanced with a full malt flavour, leading to a dry bitter finish."

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2017 500ml bottle. Sweet malt, molasses, light lemon. Standard bitter but enjoyable for sure.

Solid if not unspectacular ale. Bought at Jason’s in the 101 for more money than I would have liked. Clear copper colour. Head lingers for a while leaving some good lacing. Dry with a tang of dried fruits, such as orange and maybe sultana. Malty finish. No overly strong characteristics but easy to drink. Overall tho, solid.

500ml bottle . in a pint .A nice easy Bitter - had all the boxes ticked . Brown piano colour , as tepid and subdued as a funeral in Grimsby and as malty as a Malteser.

Bottle. Morrisons. A whole pound. New and fancy label. Pours clear, medium amber. Skim of white head. Nose has sweet, nutty grain. Some hard toffee. A little banana and bready yeast. Taste is burnt, nutty bitter. Some sweetness. Light body. Burnt bitterness to finish. Not bad, especially for the price.

Lagerboy (2221) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 19, 2017
500 ml can. Clear copper, firm lasting fine light tan foam. Aroma and taste of mild caramel malt and mild British hop. Mild carbonation, mild body, mildly hopped. Nice enough. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Canned. Copper color, thick brown head. The aroma has molasses and brown sugar, the taste is mellow but thick and sirupy.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2017 500ml bottle. Reddish brown colour, off white head. A nice malty character balanced by a medium bitterness. Fairly thin texture, light carbonation with an ever so slightly astringent finish. A satisfying and classic tasting bitter. Every time I have on I enjoy it more.

Bottle. Clear copper colour with a rapidly disappearing head. Dry, fruity flavour, malty and clean. Just a little lacking in flair, but easy to swig.

Nothing interesting about this beer. Reminds me of Courage Best in cask just got the edge over Hoffmeaster. Tastes mass produced and characterless. Little hop aroma but then I would expect much. Difficult to deliver a good bitter from a bottle.
