Draft at Malvern Brew Fest. Bill Moore is now brewing at Lancaster, and Bill is known as a lager guy. I had an opportunity to chat with him at this fest, and I am very excited to try his beers as he brews them. His Awesome Ale recipe is one of my favorite APAs ever. This is one of his flagship recipes. It is dark straw colored, with some aroma notes of pale malt, honey, hops, and slight citrus. The flavor is bold and complex for a lager, with honey maltiness up front giving way to a bready fruity element at the finish.

A nice dark golden lager that produced a decent off white head. I enjoyed Franklinfest while it was still around. No longer produced but I’m looking for the recipe.
