Medium brown, nitro head. Has a massive vanilla nose and taste. Not balanced and out of style. Garbage example, nothing but fake vanilla. Not what the style is. rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 5, 2004
Black with a lasting brownish head. A very nice aroma frommilk chocolate and cocoa.Flavor brings cocoa, chocolate, touches of smoke and roasted notes. This is good... jtclockwork (17381) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 7, 2010

A: The pour is a dark, dark brown color with a thin layer of tan foam. Scopey (15879) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2013
S: The nose is not very pleasing at all. There is some roasted malt, hints of chocolate, and a slight sweetness. However, there is also something a bit "off" about the aroma that I can’t quite pin point (maybe a touch sour?).
T: The flavor is a slight improvement over the nose with some decent roasted malt and cream flavors with a touch of sweetness. I can’t say that it’s especially good though.
M: The body and carbonation are about standard, with the body being a touch thin.
D: The pedestrian flavors and rather unpleasant nose really put me off of this beer. I think I would pass on this one if offered it again.
Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours near black with a medium light tan head. The nose is milk chocolate, earth, toast, pine, ash and coffee grinds. The taste is toast, dark fruit, light tang, earth, lactose, coffee grinds, milk chocolate and a touch of cream cheese. Medium body and fine carbonation. A solid milk stout.

Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Dark brown/black pour with an ephemeral tan head. Aroma is mostly coffee. Maybe a little nutty. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is smooth burnt toast, hints of fruit, and coffee. Finish is relatively dry and coffee. Not getting much in the way of chocolate. However, I am enjoying it. UPDATED: AUG 13, 2010 Bottle. Beer of the Month club. Black-colored with only a tiny bit of brown foam. Aroma of milk-chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt and a bit of sugariness. Sweet flavor with milk-chocolate, roasted grains, a bit of nuts, sour notes and light fruitiness. Finishes roasty, drier and slightly herbal. Medium-bodied. Pretty good. A dark reddish brown stout wit a thin brown head. In aroma, light sweet chocolate malt with light coffee grains notes. In mouth, a smooth and delicious milkey chocolate with light coffee notes, vanilla, very nice. On tap at Harrisburg location, April 10th, 2011. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - APR 12, 2004
Thick tan head atop a nice black body. Aroma is sweet, mocha, some nutty, light vanilla. Taste is mild up top, before strong roasty coffee hits midbody. Medium body lacks the creaminess the name suggests.
