Decent strong/best bitter. Predominant malt, a sweet touch of caramel then a drawn out bitter finish, with a fruity grape note.

Bottle from Booths, Kirkby Lonsdale. Appearance - deep amber to red with a thin head that disappears quickly. Nose - sweet cherry lozenge. Taste - biscuits and cherry. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - a bit too sweet overall.

Surprisingly nice. Got it from a friend, and thought it would be too strong for me. But when I tried, I was very pleased by the fruity and malty flavor. A nice ruby pint rich and smooth, poors well a nice clarity and easy drinking.

Bottle. 4.8% ABV. Pours a clear deep ruby amber colour with a off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, fruit, some red berries, slight chocolate and subtle spicy hops. Taste of caramel, toffee, fruit, slight chocolate, a little red berries and some spicy, grassy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A sweetish, toffee and a soft spicy hop bitterness in the finish. A nice, pleasant red ale, smells and tastes similar to a Cadburys eclair sweets.

Cask @ The JDW Grayhound Bridport . A good soulful red ale and chugged it fast as it was Friday ....Biscuty bready malts , notes of caramel , roast, licorice . It has a rich potent character that makes it hard to put the glass down.
