Nice clear red beer with beige and stable head. Low carbonation, at nose it has some licorice barnyard and toffee notes, in mouth has a medium body with strong roast malt flavours that mix well with the hops creating a balanced beer that fits properly in the style.

Bottle from Booths, Kirkby Lonsdale. Appearance - deep amber to red with a thin head that disappears quickly. Nose - sweet cherry lozenge. Taste - biscuits and cherry. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - a bit too sweet overall.

Surprisingly nice. Got it from a friend, and thought it would be too strong for me. But when I tried, I was very pleased by the fruity and malty flavor. A nice ruby pint rich and smooth, poors well a nice clarity and easy drinking.

Taste of caramel, toffee, fruit, slight chocolate, a little red berries and some spicy, grassy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation.
