Carrefour in Normandy. Good mouthfeel and alcohol warmth - good for the strength. Although unfiltered the taste is of stale hops and malt - rather like an old fashioned British keg ale. Quite fizzing. Unimpressive, but drinkable.

33cl bottle. Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma with hints of spices and alcohol. Sweet and Belgian-style yeasty with fruity notes and a light acidity in the finish. Pleasant and decent beer, but nothing special. (2013-02-16 - shared by a friend who brought it back from France)

Bottle from Le Comptoir Irlandais, Poitiers, France. A golden - very cloudy beer - with sweet earthy notes, vanilla and toffee on the finish.

Murky golden color with chunks of yeast and sediment suspended in the brew. Thick one finger creamy head. Aromaand taste iscitrus and malt. Body is heavy and chewy. One of the thicker biere de gardes I’ve tried....

Cloudy orange colour with floaties and a large white head. Malty, fruity sweet aroma with a floral note and hints of alcohol. Malty, yeasty and spicy flavor with a floral and light dry finish.

Bottle. Impressive head, light brown beer. Quite strong fermented fruit aroma but soon dies, the flavour is quite gentle but quite dry and fairly bitter with dark fruits. Overall a reasonable French effort at a Belgian beer.

Smak malo wyrazisty. Nie przekonywujacy ze sie degustuje biere de garde. Najslabsze piwo z browaru Lancelot jakie dotychczas pilem.

Boy, what a gusher. Farmhouse funk, dusty yeast, and some citrusy sweetness. Vibrant medium amber-orange, hazy, with rocky-foamy lacing white head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation, mild warming and some carbonic burn. Starts sweet with honey and wheat beer esters, bubblegum, Beemans, mild citrus. Chalky throughout, with some bitter yeast presence. The finish remains sweet, with a light drying bitter. After is chalky and mild alum bitter with lingering honey-wheat sweetness. Not a bad little beer.
