Formerly known as Rothenburger Landwehr-Bier Dunkles Landbier.

Bevuta in bottiglia a Rothenburg.

Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - AUG 11, 2010
bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear bronw colour, large beige head. Aroma of roasetd malts. Medium-bodied, malty with hints of chocolate, raisins and caramel. Nice.

Amber pour with a fine looking light tanned head. Aroma is fairly roasted considering the type, definite lager yeasty touch, little nutty, german hops behind that. Taste has a small malty sourness, slightly dark malt, yeasty, slightly nutty. Very thin body, nice carbonation.

Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 22, 2010
It’s dark amber with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel, and so does the slightly sweet flavour. The finish is slightly dry with hints of straw.

Bottled. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruits, wood, some rather sweet notes. Flavour is quite much the same. This one has not even seen a dunkel.

Bottled (BB 01/2010)
Turkkila Beer Festival 2009
Deep copper-red color, steady small off-white, some lace. Burnt dark bread, sweet malts, grassy hops in the nose. Brown sugar, grassy hops, sweetness dries in the aftertaste. Not a dunkel, but a dark landbier.

On tap in Rothenburg I think. Color was an amber/auburn with a whitish head. Aroma was malty, fruity and minerally. Flavor was a bit more bready, but much of the same in general. Not very sweet, compared to some in the style. Pretty good stuff.
