On tap. Poured a clear gold color. Aroma was bready and yeasty, with some light earth/grass. Flavor was similar, with a more minerally presence and little hops.

Bottle. Pale golden color, airy head. Quite nice grassy aroma, some vegetables. Decent hoppy grassy and metallic flavor, some grain and with bready notes. Ok hoppy bitterness.

Had this on tap and in the bottle in Rotherburg. Nice, crisp flavor. Very thirst-quenching after a day of wandering the streets of Rothenburg. Overall, a very satisfying pilsner.

MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - FEB 18, 2007
(33cl bottle, as Landwehr-Bräu Toppler Pils) Clear, pale golden colour with a moderate blond foamy head. Slightly sweet malty and a bit grainy and mild buttery aroma with citrousy hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Malt-accented initial taste, slightly grainy with herbal notes; dry, moderately bitter finish with a light hoppy touch. Drinkable Pils..

bager (2120) - Copenhagen N, DENMARK - SEP 25, 2006
Bottled. Clear light golden in colour with a small head. Malty and slightly sweet. Notes of butter and grass. Somewhat hoppy finish. And somewhat boring.

bierkoning (13352) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - AUG 10, 2006
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2006 Brewery tap. Hoppy, flowery aroma and flavor, flowing into a long malty, hoppy and flowery aftertaste. Went well with the excellent food. Bottle, at home: Grassy aroma. Malty, slightly hoppy, grassy flavor with a hint of boiled milk. Soft hopbitter aftertaste. Decent typical Bavarian pilsener.

2.8
pivo (2685) - GERMANY - NOV 7, 2004
Pale gold color and fluffy head. Light thin citrusy malt with a dainty and quick hop bitter. Thin, but refreshing. Respectable pils, but just average.

2.5
hotstuff (5158) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 29, 2004
White head, fast rising carbonation, transparent, no lacing, pale yellow hue. Malty aroma and flavor. Smooth mouthfeel. Light bodied beer. So-so beer.
