TAR (2802) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - JUN 11, 2016
Draft at Lang-Bräu, Sept. 2014. Pale golden. Fluffy white head quickly collapses. Dull and muted nose of flowers, wet grass, alcohol, and hints of DMS and vanilla cake. Foamy carbonation stings the palate. Sweet, honey-kissed baguette and subtle honeysuckle on initial sip. Pils malt shows decent texture and a soft fullness, but it’s limited in refinement and expressiveness. Malt gradually takes on a sweetness and wet-hay characteristic, and as the beer warms, some vegetal DMS surfaces. Shallow and subdued lemony hops fail to counteract the increasing residual sweetness. Notes of metal and shy baguette are joined by hints of metal in the wet finish. A by-the-numbers version that’s pretty simple and could be much cleaner.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Clear yellow color with small white head. Aroma has bready malts and a bit of honey sweetness. Taste has grains but also some dusty hops. Quite bitter on the finish. There are some off-notes but overall it’s not that bad.

A very in consistant brew therefore only 1.9. Sometimes great, sometimes horrible. I don’t know what they are doing...

From keg at the Lang-Bräu shop. Clear gold with a sustained white head.
Basic helles, quiet pale malt with an impression of saccharine in the nose. Light body, clean, sweet, low bitterness. Finish shows calcium / chalk / minerals and some malt rawness.

mile (4105) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 25, 2014
Bottle. Light golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel and faint grassy hoppyness. Light to moderate, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, faint caramel and hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish, faint caramel and metal with faint hoppyness. Bit watery helles. Could use more hoppyness - really nothing special.

Süffiges Helles mit ein klein wenig an Vanille und Malz. Recht mild mit einigen getreidigen Momenten. Nicht schlecht.

Pours out of the bottle in a clear golden colour with low ehad and medium body. Aroma of hops and straw with some floral hints. Taste of mild hops, straw, mild fruits, flowers and bread. Citrus finish. Nice one.

It’s golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt, flower, light bread and straw. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of light bread, flower, malt and towards the fairly dry finish I find a touch of straw.
