(Draught) Clear yellow colour. Small head with limited retention. Caramelly, pilsenery malt very prominent. Nothing original or outstanding here but well executed and exceeded expectations.

Bottle at The Pipeline, London. Typical pale lager. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a flimsy, white head. Sweet, light cereal on the nose. Flavor, too, is sweet, more cereal and modest grains, faint straw. Light in body with average carbonation. Crisp finish, more modest cereal and sugar. I actually really enjoyed this.

Bottle in a aprs-ski pub. Fresh aroma, apple, orange peel, hoppy. Pours clear blond, white fading head, light sparkling. Taste is apple, light bitter, a little bit grain, sweet, orange peal. Fruity rich finish, balanced bitter. This was a good finish of our skiweek. Got a bit off-tasting when it warmed...

Bottled, side by side tasting with an old recipe just as Tbone did. ALthough I am very biased - LK was the beer of my best years :-) light golden color, same as before. Scent is different a bit more hoppy. This is less watery, congratulate Hartwel

0,5 l. can. Light amber color, nice white head, sweety malty aroma, not intensive. Flavor of sweet malt and hay. A little biterness in aftertaste.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2007 From tap and bottle. Old Lapin Kulta was good, but this is also good. More malts, more hops and more substance. Bottle had sparkly carbonation, but tap had next to none, maybe a faulty tap. Clearly targeted to same group who drinks mid european premiums.. But this ones good, I sincerely hope they have a long term plan for Lapin Kulta and dont do hasty decision.

I bought this beer at the beer of the world in Geneva and I drank on the train to go back at home. In my point of view, it is an average lager, not the worst that I try in my life. The taste is particulary malty, bready, herbal side but there is relatively few hop, a bit metalic and watery, thin foam and gold body, ok during the summer.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of oh6gdx. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Lovely flowery hop aroma - German hops? Medium body, fairly sweet but straight malt with a very subdued yet existing hop finish. A very decent Lager. 100511
