Very drinkable beer. Some people say that this tastes like reindeers piss, but I certainly disagree. Good with food and as such.

Had this on the train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi a few weeks ago. Served with a small, fine, white head that lasts and a little lace. Color was a clear, deep yellow with bubble trails. Aroma was beery, hop, grain, malt. Flavor was similar to nose with good bittersweet and tang balance. Good body and carbonation. Finish was similar to flavor and of about average length. Servicable beer.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2007 I’m not pilsner or lager drinker but if I do I like the light ones. And this one isn’t bad. Flowers and perfume in the aroma. Golden colour, average large frothy white head, nice lacing. Sweet for a lager, sparkling, malty, bit watery however. Short maltsweet finish.

Very nice, interesting flavor, very refreshing, but I wonder why the Finnish drink this beer in winter.

From Bootlegger, Paris. Poureda colour of rich, clear copper capped by a small white yet resilient head. Faint but clean aroma. Taste was a touch of sweetness as did the finish (sorry ’bout that one!). Average mouthfeel. Pretty good for a lager.

Test vom 16.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,9,11,11,12,11 - 10,95

Gushed when opened. Regular yellow pils colour with a fluffy white head. Smells grainy, malty, not a lot of smell. Tastes very grainy, soft and cheap, but it’s a nice change for once. Soft mouthfeel, nice carbo, thin body. Not a great beer, but it’s quite drinkable.

500 ml can as “Lapin Kulta” bought at 7-Eleven in Metropolis Plaza, Sheung Shui.

Piss golden colour; Three finger head with crumpety white foam which lasts for 3 minutes; Good sticky lacing with fizzy slow carbonation; Fragrant aroma of full lager malt, with strong grains, light floral, icing sugar, strong thick bread, faint lemon and light grass; Mid to light sweet taste of bready malt, with light floral, light molasses, strong thick bread, light lemon and thin grassy bitter hops; Close to medium body. Slick palate; Mouth feel is more of a Premium Lager than a macro Pale - full maltyness with thick bready characters, slick not watery. Moderate hops as in low floral and flashes of bitterness. Sweetness is amazingly low. Light lemon finish. Good!... Hoppiness is light floral, light lemon and light grass in nose and taste; Bitterness is low-fi for an abrupt, low astringent malty finish; Fairly dry after taste. Bready and very easy to mouth.

Comments: Didin’t expect this one so malty and bready. Pretty much a Pilsener material if only this has more hops. Very fulfilling and enjoyable. Finland, tick!

Very similar to the III version of the beer, they probably brew them to one strength and then dilute as appropriate. Decent balance between hops and malt, refreshing dry finish.
