Traditionally brewed with love since 1825.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2007 Bottle. Uninteresting, even a bit unpleasant brew. Too metallic and too sweet, just as mass-produced Lagers and Pilseners from this region tend to be.Laško Zlatorog is better, though.

500ml can.
Pours a pale clear yellow with a weak white head that fades quick. Aroma is lightly sweet and biscuity with a background hop presence. Pleasant. Taste is malty with some yeast and grassy hops. Aftertaste is long, sweet, and sticky. Average pilsener everything. Maybe a bit below average. Very drinkable and refreshing. Decent.

12 oz bottle. Enjoyed on our balcony overlooking the Adriatic Sea in Zadar, Croatia. My favorite in Croatia. Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Balanced aroma of light caramel malts and a hint of hop spice. Balanced flavors. Sweet malts, caramel, toffee, and a light hop spice. Really surprising for a beer in Croatia.

Golden colour, Grainy scent not much of hops. Not much finish, easy going top. Not much.

bottle: Pours a clear straw. I had the original in Croatia and this reminded me of it. It is part of the experience of traveling and better in that setting. A light malty beer that is good with regional food and weather.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2009 New review:
0.33 l bottle. It poured a golden body with small head that went down quite fast. Mostly flowery malty and a bit dusty aroma with some weak grassy hops. Flavor is predominately malty, sweetish, with no hops showing up to balance it better, specially if you think of it as a pilsener. Also quite thin bodied, with short and watery finish that maybe shows some slight hops at the very end. Typical, not bad, but average pale lager as for now, maybe they’ve changed recipe (hops absence, stronger maltiness)

Origina review:
0.33 l bottle. Nice, but weak hop aroma. Great golden body with big white head. Flavor quite weak, like Lasko, but well balanced, malty with some citrus hops. Nice long finish, feels really good in mouth and after. Anyway, good beer for my taste. 5/3/6/4/13=3.1

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2010 Bottle. Clear, golden with a white head. Anonymous but not foul aroma, some caramel to accomplish the hops and grain. Fruity, flowers, grain and hay in the flavor, some caramel towards the end, along with hops and grain. Medium to thin body. Boring. Rating: 3-3-3-3-6-1.8. 070707

Bottle, at Esbjerg Beerfestival. It’s a clear, a bit pale golden beer wtih a small, white head. Weak nose, grainy and grassy, with a decent fruityness, Grassy, malty flavor, grainy, some bitterness, and a mostly bitter finish. Medium body, dry. Easy drinkable but boring as hell. 091022

Quack-Duck (9486) - Down South, GERMANY - AUG 16, 2007
can, received from a friend who bought it in Bosnia & Herzegovina (hvala Elvire!). Golden yellow colour, creamy and persistent white head. Malty aroma with hints of grain. Malty flavours, hints of grain (unmalted grain is on the list of ingredients), pleasantly hoppy. Pleasant carbonation, which looks quite lively, smooth character.
