From can in tapered shaker. Pours a deep, murky mahogany with thick off-white head with aroma of apples and cinnamon. Malt driven taste: toffee, with hints of aniseed in the fnish. Interesting beer that's tough to place. CurlyJoe (327) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 24, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 25, 2017 Cloudy red/brown with lots of thick, creamy head. Not a lot of aroma, quite mild, copper and sweet caramel. Bitter taste, followed by some sweetness. Very clean and drinkable. mkel07 (6397) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 13, 2017

Red/deep amber pour with a decent pale tan head. Heaps of malty, caramel, toffee aroma, a bit of spice and orange. Taste is mostly the malt; toffee, biscuit, sweet, with a little bit of spice and bitterness at the end Not bad. Squeaks88 (14) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 13, 2017
375 ml bottle. Dark amber, super malty and toffee-ish. Brown sugar taste and mildly carbonated.

375ml can. Pours a hazy ruby amber, with a moderate off-white head, which lasts well and leaves decent lacing. Citrus and spice hops mix with heaps of caramel malt in the aroma. Light citrus hops up front lead into a full body, with plenty of caramel and toffee malt. Sweet spice to finish. Close to an English strong ale in feel. Pretty decent. hawthorne00 (4115) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUN 9, 2017
Can. Deep reddish amber with a large beige head that lasts well. Fat malty aroma with layers of caramel, some dried fruit, toast. A fair bit of body for 5%. Moderate carbonation. Rich but not over sweet with just enough slightly spiced bitterness to help it not outstay its welcome. Caramel, toast, biscuit, some fruit. Hmm, bitterness creeps up after a while. A bit like a Scotch ale with a slight Southern Hemisphere twist to the hops. Likeable, characterful drop. nhardes (62) - - MAY 27, 2017
Dark amber appearance with dense off white head that holds well. Light malt and fresh baked bread aroma. More dark than amber ale. Hops absent. Malt palate with biscuit flavours. Dry finish. Missing hop influences.

Can - pours red with a creamy beige head. Aroma is caramel with a bit of dried fruit. Taste is sweet malt, caramel with a drying sweet finish. KeefOz (1916) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - MAR 24, 2017
Poured a translucent dark ruby red with a thin off-white collar and blotchy cap that laced poorly. Carbonation low, average with medium sized bubbles. Aroma subtly of caramel. Taste of moderately sweet caramel with soft toasted notes and very low bitterness. Light body. Crisp and smooth with slight sweetness and low bitterness on a short finish.
