Sampled draft @ Borefts 2013. Black with a mocha head only on the sides. Nose is sweet creamy, milky coffee, vanilla, coffee, brown sugar, vanilla oak, dark chocolate, faint tannins,… Taste is very sweet mocha, caramel malts, coffee, ridiculously creamy, touch condensed milk combined with light vinous notes,… Very creamy body. Mmm ridiculously good. Borresteijn (7177) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2013
On tap at BBF ’13. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malts, fortified wine, tannines, currants, chocolate. Flavour is medium-sweet, port wine is there, currants, chocolate, some metal, sugar, decent bitter finish with some red wine notes. Medium-bodied. Nice. @Borefts. The first Spanish beer I ever had that is actually good. Complex beer with lots of dark fruits and raisin. Nice warm notes of the oporto. dutchbeerpages (2439) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2013
Oh, so nice and sticky this one and beautifully black color. Slightly sweet and with some sour notes, not as sweet as I would have expected from an Oporto barrel. Best Spanish beer I have had so far. berntholer (1617) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - SEP 28, 2013
slight brown colour disappears without lacing. coffee colour. aroma of vanilla, sweet, bit cloying. taste of barrels, vanilla, sweet, cloying. quite dense body, soft carbonation. not a big fan of porto, quite tiresome to drink/finish. tap @ borefts ’13
