Grassy and spicy aroma. Pours hazy golden with frothy yellow-white head. Taste is piney resinous hops - very in keeping with the PNW IPA. Good stuff. Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - OCT 14, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 17, 2010 Bomber- Pours hazy orange with a frothy beige head. Aroma is hop spice, sweet lemon, grapefruit and pine. Taste is more bitter and resinous with a thick malt body to support the hops. Finish is long with a slight wax taste.
Sample at the brewery. Clear gold, frothy white head. Aroma of milod pine and citrus. Taste of pine bitterness but I think my palate is shot because it doesn’t seem very bitter. Could also be ridiculous malt balance that is making it not so abrasive. Medium body, smooth carbonation. Indra (2711) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - OCT 13, 2009
22oz. bottle. Wonderfully big floral, citric and lightly sweet aroma, green and fresh with notes of pineapple, grapefruit, light brown sugar, spruce, faint bubblegum and blueberry. Clear, light golden amber color, head is lasting and leaves thick trails of lace behind. Flavor is nicely hopped from start to finish, with a punch of bitterness up front, fading to reveal lightly sweet malts, citrus, pine, mild alcohol and a slight herbal tinge. Finish is sharp, piney and shows a bit of lemon. Moderately oily, dry, well carbonated palate with a medium-full body. This took me by surprise as being one of the best IIPAs I’ve had recently. sebletitje (10067) - Enghien, BELGIUM - OCT 11, 2009
courteys of ibrew2or3.
Pours light hazy golden, white head.
Aroma and flavor, buttery aroma, hops, light spices, malty finish is hoppy with lingering bitterness. WVHouseofBeer (1065) - West Virginia, USA - OCT 10, 2009
Poured a nice orange color with a fluffy white head. Aromas of grapefruit and some malt. The flavor wasn’t as bitter as one would expect for an Imperial IPA, but there was still a good citrus hop flavor. Flavor was balanced well by the malt. Refreshing finish. Not as strong as I like my Imperial IPAs to be, but a solid beer nonetheless.

Very nice earthy malt aroma, grass and some pine. Amber with a big fluffy head that laces and hangs around. The flavor starts with the earth y malts and then kicks in with a big hit of hop bitterness. Extremely dry and refreshing finish. Very well done. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - OCT 7, 2009
Bottle: Pours a hazy orange color with a nice white head and a thick blanket of lacing. The nose is sticky and herbal with hops; bright citrus with more of a pumelo and malty nose. The flavor is bitter with a semi-dry mouthfeel but a creamy maltiness to rub out the bitter, lots of malt sugars and hop bitterness units battle it out before the final tally is hop: 28, malt: 27. The finish is creamy and lasting with an overall refreshing citrus character. Very nice overall. Not too sweet, bitter enough to be an Imperial, but not such a huge mouthfeel that one beer is too many. The only thing more this could take is a little more florals in the nose. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - OCT 6, 2009
22 oz bottle. Cloudy orange with a fluffy, long lasting off white head. Sweet citrus, floral hop aroma with plenty of caramel and malt. The flavor starts sweet then gets gradually bitter, the finish is long and bitter with some fruity notes. Medium body with mild carbonation and a slightly syrupy mouth feel. You can really taste the dry hops in this one and the alcohol is well hidden. sinkr (323) - Odenton, Maryland, USA - OCT 5, 2009
Bomber->tulip: pors an average, rocky, off-white head that exhibits spare lacing atop a murky, orange body. Aroma of cookie only. The body is full, texture oily with average carbonation and a bitter finish. The flavor’s duration is long, being moderately acidic and heavily bitter. mwelsh13 (499) - Maryland, USA - OCT 2, 2009
Orange pour with a soapy white head. Alot of citrus, honey and pine in the aroma. Slightly burnt toffee and grain body with a low bitterness. Some honey in the back, quick fading flavor. Thick, but cloying. A bit of yeast in the background and an earthy bitterness that hangs on the back of you tongue. A bit disappointing but not bad. Maybe the bottle was not the freshest.
