Bottled. A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of coffee, alcohol, roasted malt, and some chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, alcohol, and a bit of soy sauce, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. joergen (28458) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 28, 2012

Black body, brown tinges when held to light with a medium beige head.
Coffee at the front of the nose, a little roasted malts and a bitter chocolate waft.
Roasted malts well balanced with coffee beans, bitter chocolate and treacle toffee.
Medium to full bodied, moderate to medium carbonation, alcohol is well hidden, good balance to this beer. yngwie (17078) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 11, 2014
Bottle, 22oz. It pours a black body under a dense, light tan head of moderate size. The aroma has loads of coffee, some vanilla hints, roasted malts and a pleasant touch of dark chocolate. Pretty nice, but not fantastic, and that goes for the flavor too. It feels both dry and sweet at the same time, which is a bit disturbing. All the good found on the nose is present, so is a little hoppy bitterness. It’s full bodied and lightly warming, very soft on the palate, almost velvety. Lasting finish, lacking a bit on the coffee. Sure a nice one, but a bit easy on the coffee I think. 140511 jtclockwork (16725) - , New Jersey, USA - JAN 23, 2015
Bottle. Pours dark brown tan head. Nose/taste of minerals, light vegetal matter, coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Medium body. bhensonb (15355) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 27, 2012
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours ruddy dark brown with a creamy/foamy tan head. 3 fingers! There’s definitely coffee and chocolate in the aroma, but it hits my nose a bit like chili. Med body or better. Lots of chocolate and coffee in the flavor, but there’s a persistent hint of capsaicin. A sort of tangy/spicy aspect. Overall there’s a great deal of flavor. Not a hint of heat. Oh so much better than oh so many. Drinks very, very nice. djd07 (15106) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 19, 2012
On tap at Hay Merchant. Pours a dark brown with small frothy off white head. The aroma is chocolate and roasted malt. Medium mouthfeel with a rich coffee and chocolate. A good Strong porter from Laughing Dog.
