Bottle from 5000/Larry Pitonka. Poured a golden yellow color, huge honkin, persistent, humongo head, way overcarbonated from a convenience factor, yet it didn’t kill the mouthfeel or tarnish the actual experience at all. The aroma was herbal, semi-spicey hops, grains, light fruity ester notes. The flavor followed the aroma, lots of flavor and firm hops, all finishing dry and crisp, although I could have been told it was a standard american pale ale and wouldn’t have known it was a "cream ale." Thanks Andre, a nice one. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - OCT 19, 2007
Aroma is light. Perhaps a little fruity. Pours gold with a nice white head that was long lasting. Flavor had some sweetness, fruitiness and a hoppy finish that had tasty citrus notes. It was smooth, easy to drink, but very flavorful in a basic sort of way, if that makes sense. I like it! Eckato (147) - Gulfport, Florida, USA - AUG 7, 2007
Thanks to SANTA.....pours a nice thick glowing yellow with a monster white head...very subtle aroma that I find appealing...the lacing was also very nice...I am not familiar with cream ales...but after this one I want to try more. This is slightly sweet and lasts a long time...I want more...thanks Santa... ryan92020 (1) - USA - JUL 20, 2007 does not count

I enjoy Laughing Dog (especially the Devil Dog) but this doesn’t work for me. The taste seems more blunted and seperated than creamy.

From the bottle purchased at the Sandpoint Safeway: pours a clear golden color. Had a decent foamy white head that dissipated quickly but left good lacing. Slight hoppy aroma with some malts. The hops and malts come out more noticeably in the flavor along with some citrus. A thick creamy mouth-feel and a lasting finish. I prefer Laughing Dog’s IPA but this is a good one too. 12 oz bottle picked up in Seattle. Great simple label design...gotta love it, totally reminds me of a great local brewery here in Portland.
Clean golden brew, white head. Soft nose that drinks easily. Clean, easy to quaff and I must agree with the bottle, would be a fantastic brew in the summer. Nice beer from a another great PNW brewery....I’m very pleased with this beer and happy to support an Idaho brewery. Going to have another one of their beers tonight.... [12oz Bottle] A nice clean clear golden color. With a nice head. This ha a great flavor and a very easy crisp drinking taste. A good overall cream ale and a great job. This is a new Brewer he is headed in good times. limalimamoli (52) - Oceanside, California, USA - NOV 15, 2006
True representation of An ACA just like the little kings ale of old.Aroma: Faint malt notes. A sweet, corn-like aroma Appearance: Pale straw Brilliant, sparkling clarity.
Flavor: Low hop bitterness. Low maltiness and sweetness, varying with gravity and attenuation. Well attenuated. Neither malt nor hops prevail in the taste. Mouthfeel: Generally light and crisp, although body can reach medium. Smooth mouthfeel with medium to high attenuation; higher attenuation levels can lend a “thirst quenching” finish. High carbonation.
Overall Impression: A clean, well-attenuated, flavorful American lawnmower beer.

Bottle: Pours a rich golden color with lots of white head and immense lacing. Aroma is light, but the taste is solid. A nice amount of malts, hops, and a doughy feel. Body is creamy and smooth.
