Pours dark brown with beige head.
Aroma is hoppy, very floral with citrus notes and a light oak nose.
Taste, bitter hops, light malts. Finish was rather bitter. Beer is very enjoyable and unique.
A delicious and different IPA. Aroma was nice. Strong bitter citrus hops leaning on grapefruit. Pour was a nice deep dark amber with a 3 finger near tan head. Taste was very bitter with grapefruit dominating and a very sour drying aftertaste. Nice carbonation. The mouth and throat are bone dry after swallowing- I love sour beers so this was good but like Captain Cougar said, I think something may have been off. Bottle: Pours a mostly opaque with a very large, overcarbonated clingy froth of beige head. Aroma, unfortunately, has strong notes of sauerkraut and some faint dark roasted malts. Body starts effervescent and semi-tart with a touch of dark caramel and roasted malts, before a drier, more bitter finish Sadly, the citrusy hops are overshadowed by a bad infection. Looks like I must’ve gotten a bad bottle, since no one else seems to note any of these problems. kiefdog (1827) - Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2008

Bottle thanks to sebletitje. Pours brown with a tan head. Aroma is woody, spicy pine with some citrus to it. Flavor is malty red grapefruit, some chocolate and bitter hops (think citrus and red grapefruit) to finish off. Nice and enjoyable. afterglow (1047) - Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2008
Bottle courtesy of sebletitje. Pours a slightly hazy brown with a small off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of citrus and floral hops with chocolate and coffee. Taste is the same as aroma but more prominent. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Very good. rustymccrea (1) - , Idaho, USA - DEC 19, 2008 does not count
Great Beer, a bit chocolate in flavor with some nice hop boost. Great with some heavy food. Nice and creamy. Perfect for relaxing after a hard day, probably wont have many of these though as I like the Stone IPA better and it is less expensive. BJP2006 (42) - Washington, USA - DEC 8, 2008
As much as I liked this beer 1 was my limet something in it made me feel like I had more than 1 pours a black almost porterish color with an offwhite head big and I mean big hop nose kinda like jucyfruit fishes nice and bitter like a good IPA should , Interesting Brew GodOfThunder (1271) - Orlando, Florida, USA - DEC 4, 2008
Thanks to JMFG, I think. The smell is strong on the hops and vanilla, but the hops smell a little bit aged. The hops are still strong in the taste, though. Strong vanilla taste, also. Makes me think of a hopped up vanilla porter, or something. Interesting mix of flavors.
