22 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. This one is all head... about a 5:2 ration of head to beer. Dark brown colored pour. The head is tan, obviously very large, foamy, with good head retention and lacing. Aroma is faded herbal, leafy hops with some caramel notes. There’s something in there that is earthy and reminiscent of crayons. Taste is caramel, toffee, light roast, anise, citrus and earthy hops. Medium bodied. A little bit on the odd side but overall a pleasant beer.

Bottle shared by a traveling HSC member. The beer pours a dark amber-brown color with a medium foamy light beige head that burns away steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops and toasted malt. Medium body (although a touch thin at times) with flavors of hops, roasted malt, caramel and a bit of citrus. The finish is toasty with a short hops aftertaste. Decent overall. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 16, 2008
