Big foamy head. Sour nose with a tangy middle and gritty end. Interesting mix of sour and bitter. UXO (1896) - CANADA - JUL 29, 2015
Appearance: clear pale amber with two fingers of rocky ivory head, good retention and spotty lacing. (3/5) Aroma: pine resin, rye, citrus, doughy yeast. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter, light sour. (7/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering bitter finish. (4/5)
A decent rye IPA. I tend to like this style, particularly how the sharpness of the rye complements the IPA bitterness. And yeah, this one does that, but in a slightly blunt fashion. It’d be nice to still get some bright citrus going on, and I’m not really getting that here. Good, not great. (14/20) jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 11, 2015
2015-06-05. Orange body with a small white head. 3+ Aroma has good amount of rye, almost but not quite licorice like herbal touch. Flavour is interesting, mildly fruity and lightly bitter, the rye comes through more than expected, with a slightly sharp grainy quality. Moderate bitterness. Average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Decent but I’m not sure I want a pint of it. On tap at Edmonton Craft Beer Festival. ElCapitan22 (363) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2015
Pours a clear dark gold color. It has nice lacing and a frothy bit of head retention. Has a malty aroma with hints of rye bread with it. Tastes like rye and malt. A good, solid rye beer! Theydon_Bois (19506) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 30, 2015

Bottle shared at Tampa airport. Pours clear yellow with a frothy white head. The nose has some piney spice, pale bread. Medium sweet flavor with a bit of zesty grapefruit, pine needles, dry pale bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more zesty citrus, spicy rye, pine needles, mild boozy warmth. Not bad. thehinge (292) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - FEB 17, 2015
Lemony aroma. Bubbly orange pour with lots of white head. Citrusy, resiny front end. Nice example of the style. hotstuff (5158) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 9, 2015
Rated on 4-29-2013 (Bottle) The appearance is a large white head, hazy yellow body, very fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is bready malt, rye, spicy, pine, grassy hops. The flavor is sweet, lightly bitter, lightly spicy, pine hops, and acidic. The mouthfeel is soft carbonation and this beer is light bodied. This beer’s aroma is better than its flavor. The flavor has a very weird taste for the beer style and possibly lightly infected? TimE (5817) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JAN 25, 2015
light dry fair amount of rye. Modestly bitter. Balanced and highly enjoyable、. puboflyons (3433) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 27, 2014
From the 650 ml. bottle. Way old. Bottled 3/7/13. How did I not see that at the store? The pour is an unfiltered pale yellow but the fluffy, white head is ridiculous. I had to pour it into two glasses as the foam just spilled out of the bottle. The aroma was mildly hopped with a nice toasted biscuit note. At least that is what I could get through the foam that was tickling my nose. The body is medium or better. The taste was moderately hopped but there was a sort of buttery sensation in there as well. This gets pretty good ratings but since my bottle was 18 months old I didn’t get it in its prime. My bad.
