From the 650 ml. bottle. Way old. Bottled 3/7/13. How did I not see that at the store? The pour is an unfiltered pale yellow but the fluffy, white head is ridiculous. I had to pour it into two glasses as the foam just spilled out of the bottle. The aroma was mildly hopped with a nice toasted biscuit note. At least that is what I could get through the foam that was tickling my nose. The body is medium or better. The taste was moderately hopped but there was a sort of buttery sensation in there as well. This gets pretty good ratings but since my bottle was 18 months old I didn’t get it in its prime. My bad.

Bottled. Dark amber with a pillowy head. Pretty intense rye character and a solid dose of hops. Good.

Pours cloudy light yellow. Aroma, spicy almost Brett like?, some perceptible hop aroma. Nice smooth start, backing into hop flavor and touch bitterness. Flavor seems Brett like, too. Nice spicy note with a great balance with hop flavor. Quite a nice IPA, rye or not. Smooth and balanced for IPA, nice citrus notes, pretty subdued. Need to drink more rye pas apparently. Solid!

"This beer would have some serious potential fresh. Not sure of the age on my bottle, but you could tell it had sat for at least a little while. Pine peeeent but more muted than expected. Spicy and malty sweet, chewy body. Bittersweet spicy finish."

Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - Abercorn - 22 oz bomber. Pours a slightly murky dark orange with an overabundant foamy white head - some quality problems it seems. Light spruce notes in the aroma, a touch of rye-like mint. Flavor s decent with some light citrus bitterness, a touch or rye-like mintiness, just a touch of white grapes. Mouthfeel has a decent thickness to it, but the annoying pour knocks it down a point.

mcberko (20847) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 18, 2014
On tap at The Underground, pours a clear golden copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of citrus, with secondary notes of rye. Flavour brings out loads of resinous hops, loads of pine, and moderate rye. The rye isn’t overdone, with a very medium body. Very piney and delicious IPA.

Bottle. Pours fairly pale yellow with white head. Nose is grapefruit with rye spice. More grapefruit in the taste.
