Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter piney aroma with hints of caramel. Fruity malty hoppy bitter citrus grapefruit flavor with piney hints. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish. omhper (24959) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 3, 2011
Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear amber, rich head. Striking perfumy nose with gooseberry and black currant. Sweet and full bodied with loads of perfumy hops. Hugely bitter finish. Though getting a bit syrupy, the zesty massive hoppiness outweighs that, and it remains a relatively drinkable hop bomb. madmitch76 (24360) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2014

Cloudy deep amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is softish and semi dry with good fine carbonation. Sweet creamy malt with a toffee streak. Spicy and sweet piney hops. Whisper of red berry fruits. Light spicy finish. Quite a tasty beer but somewhat disjointed.
Draft. Clear deep amber color, medium white head. Aroma of flowers, citrus. Taste is caramel, bitter lemon, pine resin. Strong stuff. Leighton (21074) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2013
Bottle in NYC. Pours rich Mber with a soft, frothy head. Rich, sugary malt aroma, some juicy pine. Big sweet flavor, lots of sugary citrus, grapefruit, bread, brown sugar, caramel, pine. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm, resinous finish, lots of sticky berries, ripe melon, papaya and grapefruit. Kind of hot, boozy. More like a barley wine if you ask me.

Cask at Mahaffey’s, Baltimore - 22/05/12.
Orange/brown in colour, slightly obscured with a good finger of off-white head.
Caramel malts allied to piney hops on the nose.
Tastes as nose, citrus notes, a little wood and straw.
A little warming alcohol finish on each mouthfeel, medium bodied but felt fuller as I continued to drink.
Whilst I like to champion cask ale, I tend to draw the line at 7/8% on an IPA and should have heeded my usual rules. This was still very drinkable, but a little on the warm side for a DIPA in terms of general temperature by the time I’d finished it! rlgk (18847) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 6, 2012
Draught at Rattle&Hum, NYC. Somewhat hazy amber/golden color with a nice offwhite head, leaving great lacing in the glass. Hoppy aroma, hazelnuts, grass, floral, malty, biscuits, sweetish in a fresh way, never getting cloying, citrus, grapes, roasted, caramel. Malty caramel flavor, biscuits, bready, citrus, grapefruit, milky, figs, raisins, alcohol that stays balanced, candy, plums, mango, some pine. Sweetish mango finish with pine, hay and some alcohol. Wonderful! mcberko (17147) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 27, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2012 12 oz. bottle, pours an opaque dark amber with a small beige head. Nose hints at much more malt-heavy IIPA, with loads of syrupy caramel malt and brown sugar, drowning out the citrus hops in back. Flavour confirms this, but much more of the hops breathe here, at least at first. The initial flavour is both very citrus hop-heavy and full of the syrupy caramel malts and honey, with some grapefruit in there as well. Finishes more on the honey sweet side of things. Palate has an unusually thick viscosity for the style. Usually I don’t like these overly malty IIPAs, but this one definitely works well. Very enjoyable. brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 20, 2011
A: The beer pours a dark amber color with a finger of off-white head.
S: Horrible, horrible nose. Butter and booze are prominent and there is a ton of sweetness in the form of caramel, toffee, and brown sugar. Some piney hops and a bit of an herbal note to it as well.
T: The flavor starts off with a moderate bitterness from the piney hops and some citrus peel. But, there is a lot of butter and sweet caramel and toffee.
M: Medium to full in body with a medium carbonation.
O: Just too buttery and sweet...blech. bhensonb (15077) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 20, 2011
Bottle from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Purs dark ruddy copper with a slight off-white head. Warmmalty aroma with a hint of earthy. Fulll boided. Lots of caramel. Hop is smooth, but not strongly bitter - sort of like a bitter barley wine. It has really great flavor.
