COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sneaky Pete is a blend of five hop types: Simcoe, Glacier, Centennial, Vanguard and Hallertuaer, with Simcoe playing the dominate role at 30%. In addition, three separate malts were used: Honey Malt, Rye Malt, and Munich Malt. The brew has a copious aroma of white grapefruit, citrus overtones, a complex rich middle and long flavors in the finish; a real beauty. Finished with wild clover honey.

This had a sweet taste to it. Perhaps it's the honey. Generally go for ipas where the hops are the dominate taste. Bottle from whole foods

Copper color with a small lid of ecru bubbles. Sweet grainy to silage laden scents. Yes, there are plenty of hops in the aromas as well with pine and citrus, but the unclean malt spoils things a bit for me. Sweet caramel dominates the flavors in the front. Floor cleaner starts to kick in. mid quaff. A true strong IIPA, with a few dirty edges. 8/11

Can from Total Wine & More, McLean. Nose is hoppy, vegetables, citrus. Taste is hops and citrus and spices and rye. Lots of rye. Really nice. Lots of funky rye in the finish.

Great orange/brown color. Smells strong of malt, but quite balanced given 10%.. fair amount of earthy hops as well. Taste is relatively flat, some carbonation.. very balanced for an Imperial.

Pale amber with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, mild citrus and faint pine. Taste is largely malty and sweet. Some caramel and molasses and not much bitterness or fruitiness from the hops to speak of. Disappointing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: maltier than expected for an IIPA; Appearance: clear amber pour with billowy white head that dissipates slowly; good lacing; Taste: also much maltier than expected. Perhaps bottle too old? Palate: medium-heavy body with long, sweet with lightly bitter finish; Overall: okay but odd take on an IIPA. Would not get again.

Pours a nice dark reddish amber color. Aromas of HOPS, and some other hints, maybe fruit, maybe coffee. Flavor is a bittersweet, malty, and hoppy as hell.

A reddish copper DIPA with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with loads of resinous floral hops, alcohol warmth, some vinous character like a barleywine, musky and complex. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with vinous notes, dark fruits, plums, licorice, resinous and piney hops, tropical fruit, very nice. Still solid after 3 years.
