Reminds me of a stronger Version of Allagash Curiox
Barrel aged version @ the brewery tons of Bourbon in the nose lots of Current and Pear fantsatic beer yet again From Laughing Dog
On Tap at the "Front Door" in Boise. Slightly hazy deep orange witha aloft film of a head that dissipates quickly. Fruity aroma apples pears and such. Very little yeast or hop notes, which is OK. Flavor was mostly melons and apples. I doubt it is supposed to be this sweet. In fact apple juice would be a better comparison than beer. This "Abby" is lacking much of the yeast notes of the style that it claims to be in. Still, pleasant and I would say a beginner Belgian that would be easy to drink for anyone but the harshest of "style nazis"
A slight ABV burn a the end.
Tasty but quite sweet.

Draught @ TFD Boise - Pours a clear dk orange with a medium off white head...fruit syrup and spicy yeast aroma, doughy and thick...flavour is similar, cinnamon and clove?, sweet sticky banana and tangerine, toffee...kinda grew on me as it warmed... Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - MAY 17, 2010
UPDATED: JUL 9, 2010 Sample at the brewery. Hazy amber/orange, foamy beige head. Aroma of oak, spice, citrus, very sharp in general. Taste also has the sharpness of whiskey with lots of citrus and some alcohol in the nose. Medium buttery body with soft carbonation. Note:this version was barrel aged. A: Amberish colored pour with a nice off white head. Okay retention and some spotty lace.
S: Aroma of summer fruit, spice, caramel, and toffee. Sweet and spicy.
T: Light apple and pear leads into some mild spice. There are nice notes of toffee and a honey like sweetness as well. It is a bit yeasty with a touch of citrus in the finish.
M: On the lighter side of medium, nice carbonation.
D: Not too bad.

Tap @ Bittercreek: Pours a dark brown amber color with a light head. The nose is bright with yeast esters and alcohol. Moderate sugar and caramel in the flavor with tons of fresh yeast and more hot alcohol notes. Good belgian with some balanced characteristics but a bit much in the yeasty and alcohol department. Much of what balances the traditional belgian beers is that earthy caramel malt note that this one lacks. Still good though. Ibrew2or3 (8912) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - OCT 30, 2009
Courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours clear copper with off white head. The aroma is a combination of earthiness, chocolate and roasty malts to go along with lesser amounts of spice and pine hops. The taste is the same beginning with sweet crystal malts, some vanilla, earthiness and sweet slick malts. Somewhere in there I get a pulse or two of pine hops. The flavors come together in harmony but build to be a bit on the sweet side. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - SEP 29, 2009
Thanks jcwattsrugger for the share. Pours gold with a white head. Nose is honey, spice, sugar, caramel, and toffee. Flavor is about the same with lingering caramel and honey in the finish. There are yeasty elements in different parts of the beer. Nice BSA overall.
