Dark nearing black with a large frothy tan head. Aroma is chocolate and espresso with some roasted malt. Taste starts sweet, oily and then moves into a hoppy bitterness. A touch of acidity beyond the bitterness and quite bubbly but otherwise well made. bitbucket (2165) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - MAY 7, 2006
Bottled. Brown black pour with a tan head. Aroma is roasty coffee and chocolate with a little burnt toast. Taste is malty espresso and chocolate. Mouthfeel is oily and medium bodied with light carbonation. Lengthy dry bitter finish. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - MAY 7, 2006
Bottle: Pours a dark rich black color, a full retentive dark tan/brown head with plenty of lacing. The nose is very roasty with a light astringent coffee note and a bitter nutty component that’s a lot like earthy yeast. The flavor is creamy and pronounced with a light hop bitterness and a moderate roast astringency. The finish is tangy, a bit much carbonation than I like in a stout but pretty good. Full body, complete roast profile. Nice. JahNoth (1039) - Rochester, New York, USA - APR 15, 2006
Welcoming aroma of coffee and semi-sweet chocolate. VERY dark pour, a tad thin, with a light brown head. Delicious flavor of espresso and bitter chocolate. Lots of roasted malts provide the bitterness. Very nice. Thanks to Andre - you da man! kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 14, 2006
12 oz bottle, via acertain. Completely black pour with a frothy one finger light brown head. No sediment noted in bottle. Roasty aroma with a lactic sweetness. Notes of espresso and chocolate. Roast and burnt toast flavor up front with a lactic and slightly sour finish with some espresso. Texture is oily and medium bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation. Very mouthcoating leading to a lengthy finish. A really nice Sweet Stout, packed with flavor. Worth seeking out.

Sweet chocolate and coffee aroma. Dark black with a medium brown head. Pretty strong bitter coffee and smoth chocolate tastes. Pretty high carbonation... Very enjoyable. Solid stout. BarePaw (148) - Pullman, Washington, USA - MAR 5, 2006
This is a very dark beer with a darker head. The flavor is sweet and fairly malty at first, then the hops take over for a roasted finish. Suttree (6385) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 20, 2006
Black, tan head. Big chocolate and coffee aroma. Milk Chocolate flavors dominate at first, with coffee commin on at the finish to give it a rather dryish finish. Very tasty. Thanks to acertain for the trade! Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 17, 2006
Pours opaque with a mocha head, thin bubbles. Very mild cocoa aroma. Taste is rich chocolate malt, very dark and bitter. Nice. Roasted malts in the finish, coffee. Medium body, slightly oily. NYHarvey (2153) - New York, New York, USA - FEB 16, 2006

Aroma is sweet cream, cocoa and hint of coffee. Black with a thumb thick mocha head that is creamy more than bubbly. Fore is pretty bitter followed by some chocolate malt sweetness, cream, cocoa and coffee. It gets a bit thin in the finish and has coffee bitter/acidic aftertaste. I rather enjoyed it though. Thought it was a decent sipper and left a nice remberance in the far aftertaste.
