Bottle shared by Matt at Craft Beer Live. Pours a cloudy mocha brown with a beige head. A nutty aroma, some pine hop, mostly hazelnut. Hazelnut flavour with some gentle coffee and malt. A moderately bitter pine finish. Lively carbonation with a medium body, lingering nutty flavour. Pretty good stuff. melush (4414) - SPAIN - MAY 28, 2016

Tap at Hanshin Department Store Portland Fair. Apparently, this is a Japan-exclusive beer. Medium roasty nose, caramel, and hazelnuts. Medium translucent brown color. Rich roast malt initial, moderate hop in mid, light coffee notes, mild bitter finish. Thin-medium body and very clean feautured. Smooth and fairly tasty. Wombata (625) - Kobe, JAPAN - JAN 28, 2016
Tap at Hanshin for Portland/Valentines Day event. The idea for this came from Ai Tani-San of CBB and Laurelwood came up with the recipe and made it.
Aroma: Light molasses note, roasted hazelnuts, coffee.
Palate: Medium bodied.
Flavor: Light molasses sweetness hazelnut, dark chocolate, coffee that turns toward bitter chocolate on the finish.
Comment: Dry overall with definite nutty character. Well done.

Tap at Hanshin’s Portland Event. Laurelwood Nut Brown Ale 6.4%
Pouring a deep brown with a thin beige head. The aroma is nutty chocolate, think a nutty muffin. The flavor is a bit sweet than expected with a well balanced roastiness and nut spread character. Flavorful and easy drinking, it was my favorite of the tasting set.
