Had to drink it out of a plastic cup at the Portland airport, but I enjoyed it. Nice appearance, good hop flavor and nice balance. A very solid IPA. bb (9790) - Alamo, California, USA - SEP 10, 2007
Draft. Rich amber beer with off-white. head. Nice grapefruit/pine aroma. Grapefruit/pine flavor with backing caramel. decent bitterness. Medium body. Lingering grapefruit/pine. Good, but wanted just a bit more bitterness. VTHopHead (1513) - Seymour, Tennessee, USA - AUG 11, 2007
Draft - Poured a dark reddish-orange amber in color with an off-white head. Aroma was very strong of citrus hops. Flavor was very hoppy as well, but a malt balance was present too. A very good IPA. Bierotherapeut (43) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 7, 2007
Blond foncé. Mélange de houblon résineux, terreux et épicé. Houblonnage complexe. Un léger côté caramélisé tente d’accompagné le houblon mais il reste en sourdine. Excellente IPA Skyview (6115) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUL 15, 2007
Sampled on tap while visiting the "Oregon Nite" hospitality room during the American Breweriana Association Annual Meeting (ABA) in Portland, Oregon. Pours a semi-clear orange-ish amber brew with a thick off-white head that has excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus peel and strong weedy hops. Hop scent is so overwhelming it was difficult to pick up other scents. Taste shows its real character with light carbonation, medium bodied texture with a decent balance of multi-grain malt, citrus peel and some herbal flavors. Finish is very bitter, slightly metalic with more citrus aftertaste. Lots of hops in this brew.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2007 Tap at their NW public house. Pretty good, standard IPA brew. Copper tone with a hint of orange, nice white head. Strong hoppy appearance in the flavors, with other earthy pine and herb flavors. Nice balance of malt making it really crisp. harrisoni (19534) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 29, 2006
On tap at Laurelwood, Portland. Copper with lasting off white head. Attractive sherbert hop aroma. OK, so it’s an IPA, a proper PNW one, so you have boat loads of sherberty hop, especially on end. Still slightly nettley. Has moderate malt to supoort it, but hop is extreme. But it is lovely. I had another pint a couple of nights later and still enjoyed it. unclemattie (4406) - Georgia, USA - AUG 13, 2006

On tap at Laurelwood Publick House in Portland, OR. 5 ounce sample. Citric grapefruity hops present in the nose with some orangey and hempy aromas. Mild sweetness is also present. Transparent light coppery color with frothy, off-white/yellow head and nice lacing. Metallic, piney hoppiness to start with some grapefruity bittering hops to finish. Sweet, toasted malts are sandwiched between the hoppiness. Well-balanced. presario (4925) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 28, 2006
Easily my favorite beer sampled at the brewpub. Went well with the clam chowder. Gold colour. Light long lasting head. Delicious fruity hop flavour. Hoppy finish. Nice balance lots of hops and too much.
