Green Elephant is green because it’s made from organic malts, and elephant because of the Amarillo, Ahtanum and organic Cascade hops. It’s medium-bodied with a subtle malt underpining and an explosive hop flavor and bitterness. Dang, the elephant is hoppy.

Draft. Dark gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of white chocolate, white grapefruit peel, and black pepper. Flavors are of leafy hop, cypress, and astringent grainy malt. Medium bodied and fairly bitter. Decent.

Bottle. Pours a fairly clear mostly gold copper with a short off-white head and excellent lacing. Smells a lemon citrus floral woodsy. Tastes awesome, massive flavor, a potpourri of enjoyment anchored by citrus. Mild bitterness that lingers through the 20 or more seconds of aftertaste. This is a home run for Laurelwood.

BillKismet (4177) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 11, 2016
Copper body decent head. Aroma has an easy floral bitterness. The body also starts off with a simple floral bitterness, though the bitterness deepens sharply toward the finish.

A decent IPA, but don’t think I’d buy another.
