nice looking IPA, does not live up to expectations. super soapy and citrusy with a strange spice and mintgrass conponent. very resiny and chewy but without a decent malt character to balance the extreme hop pine and citrus. its hoppy alright, but not in a good way. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 13, 2008
Bright amber with medium head. Pine hop aroma with a little nug and citrus. Hoppy, but very well balanced with earthy malt. Enjoyable, but didn’t knock my socks off. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 11, 2008
Poured a hazy orange color with an off white head. Aroma was mainly citrusy hops. Flavor was a lot of citrus hops and pretty malty, almost too malty to cover up the hops. DrBayern (1139) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - AUG 10, 2008

Aroma - fresh hoppy aroma that is minty, spicy, and citursy,
Appearance - Deep hazy orange amber pour with a an off white head that leaves spotty lace
Flavor - Toffee and some light fruity sweetness provide entry for a spicy bitterness and a soft dry finish
Palate - Medium body and carbonation, somewhat resinous, lightly dry finish, bordering on crossing over to being sweet
Overall - Not overly bitter, but that is not a criticism. Big hop presence is balanced well by solid malt base.
Pours deep amber with minimal head, sheets of lacings. Aroma is floral hops, pine.
Taste is a big wallop of piney resinous hops with a big malt presence. The hops have a broader flavor profile than the typical northwest varities. Interesting and very tasty IPA.

Bottle. Clear amber with a viscous white head, nice lacing. Awesome smell of spruce sap and ganja bud smoke, wow....love that. Smooth palate and lightly carbonated. Good, simple flavors of semi sweet caramel with piney hops. Nicely bitter to finish. Great aroma, good taste. doboy (424) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - AUG 4, 2008
Popped this one with Steve, CelticBrew and DrBayern. Has a sweet aroma. It poured with no real head, just a light lacing around the edges. It was copper in color, with a very light haze. This Elephant has a very nice hoppy taste that I found to my liking! MakeItDrinkIt (66) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 14, 2008
Clear deep golden color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is a big citrus splash - tangerine, grapefruit, limes and a touch of pine and some floral notes. Flavor is nicely balanced - big malts, light caramel, and lots of big hop flavors - citrus and grassy. Not overly bitter, just enough. CelticBrew (912) - The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA - JUL 6, 2008
Pours medium dark amber, forming small off white foamy head. Aroma was faint, hops, pines, tropical fruits. Flavour was of grassy tones with slight pine resin character with a slight caramel tinge. A little dry in the end, as the hoppiness overwhelms ( in a good way ). Lacing is lovely, overall a well crafted IPA. Would like to try the on tap version as well.

Bomber poured a clear copper with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of earthiness, pine, carmel, mango, orange and a hint of grapefruit. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a slightly dry finish. Flavors of pine, carmel, orange, light earthiness, light mango and a hint of grapefruit with a crisp lingering moderatly bitter finish.
