COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Green Elephant is green because it’s made from organic malts, and elephant because of the Amarillo, Ahtanum and organic Cascade hops. It’s medium-bodied with a subtle malt underpining and an explosive hop flavor and bitterness. Dang, the elephant is hoppy.

CapnCascade (116) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 21, 2008
Pours a slightly cloudy copper, rich head with some retention. Incredibly floral aroma that also presents caramel, soy, and curry spice. Dry and leafy, noticeable hop spiciness, and the finish lingers about with just the right amount of hop bitterness. The best Northwest IPA I’ve had in ages, many thanks to the Beerman at Whole Foods in Portland, OR, who told me I had to buy it!

teamsale (306) - Washington, USA - JUN 20, 2016
Bottle. Pours a fairly clear mostly gold copper with a short off-white head and excellent lacing. Smells a lemon citrus floral woodsy. Tastes awesome, massive flavor, a potpourri of enjoyment anchored by citrus. Mild bitterness that lingers through the 20 or more seconds of aftertaste. This is a home run for Laurelwood.

Light amber color, tremendously hoppy oder. A hoppy aftertaste as well, which is good, cause its not pungent. A quality organic. Would drink again! A+++

Gooney (389) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 2, 2008
22 oz bottle from New Seasons - Seasonal. Big Hoppy Beer. Hops kind of mask everything else, but very nice. I’d get it in a keg (if it were available), but it’s not for the masses.

MakeItDrinkIt (66) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 14, 2008
Clear deep golden color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is a big citrus splash - tangerine, grapefruit, limes and a touch of pine and some floral notes. Flavor is nicely balanced - big malts, light caramel, and lots of big hop flavors - citrus and grassy. Not overly bitter, just enough.

DuffMan (10665) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 14, 2010
Bottle, shared with Parksy. Pours a nice hazy orange with a creamsicle cap, good lace. Very fruit-hoppy nose and palate, lots of fresh citrus and tropical fruit, juicy and fresh. Perfect malt balance. A perfect NW-style IPA. Awesome!

Appears red/amber. Coopery and smooth on the palate. We both enjoy. Can smell hops before you taste them. Mildish IPA flavor. Good aftertaste.
