This was poured into a weizen glass.
The appearance was a hazy orange to yellow color with a big white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute and a half. Light lacing started and then slid adequately into the beer.
The smell started off with a sour banana and then a light clove followed. As the beer warmed up, the clove settled out a bit.
The taste was pretty much the same as the smell. There was a light sweet to sour banana aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was there for the style and for me.
Overall, decent hefeweizen. I might have had mine a bit old. Still I’d have this again.
Bottle shared at a private tasting. Pours clear yellow with a thin white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of big banana notes, wheat, spice, yeast. The taste is yeast, spice, wheat, banana. (See what I did there?) Medium bodied, strong lingering spice.

Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours translucent gold with a slight, transient white head. Aroma is very banana/clove. Medium body, or almost. Flavor is very banana/clove. There’s an odd aspect - suggests wheat. Oh well, guess that’s necessary. I think I’m even getting a bit of that old Fleer’s bubblegum thing. Certainly one of the better hefes I’ve had lately. maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - AUG 10, 2014
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a smallish white head on there. Nose has a bit of clove in there as well as a huge amount of wheat coming off it. Taste is slightly sweet, heavily wheat laden, with just a hint of some banana and citrus. Decent for what it is, but nothing special. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 9, 2014
Bottle:   Solid American example, clean wheatiness, some citrus bits, nice body.   No sulfur or off flavors.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Mildly sweet, clean citrus based wheaty finish.   Good example.   Wait a minute, German Hefe?   No clove, banana or bubble gum, but still tasty and more like a good American example. ericdevin (988) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Bottle from New Frontier Market, Eugene. Pours a slightly attenuated pale golden color, decent amount of white head. Aroma banana, bubblegum. Body lively and brisk, finish disappears. Not world class, but really not so bad, either. bth122 (1678) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 8, 2014
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2014 Draft in oregon Pizza Schmizza pizza place. Yellow color. Aroma of banana, clove. Average carbonation. Medium light body. Pretty tasty. Had better.
