Draft at the brewpub. Black in color with a retained tan head. Aroma is loads of coffee, roasty ashy notes, some bitter cocoa. Flavor is nice, coffee really prominent, dry and fairly bitter, just a touch of sweetness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Solid offering. kkettler (26) - - NOV 21, 2015

Had on tap at the SE Brewpub. Aroma is roasty and malty with hints of coffee. Flavor is a great match of roasty and burnt flavors and has a ever so slight sweetness to it. Overall this is a great beer, very balanced and easy drinking. mcberko (18441) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 13, 2013
On tap at Laurelwood PDX, pours black with a large tan head. Aroma birds out dry coffee and roasted malt. Flavour is similar, with very dry coffee and roast. Fairly bland, but creamy palate. Decent stout.
