Sample at the Laurelwood Public House at PDX. Jet black pour with a medium khaki head that diminishes gradually to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and hops. Medium body with flavors of coffee, chocolate malt and earthy hops. The finish is roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Pretty good overall. douglas88 (9049) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 3, 2013
On tap. Pours a pure black hue with a large beige head. A nice nose of char, coffee. The flavor is excellent: dark fruit, smoke, rich roast, damn this is good. Best beer at an airport ever!

Draught at the Laurelwood NW Public House. Like the organic porter, with more burnt malt grain. Rich, chocolately stuff. Full-bodied. Not a monster, but just right!
