Bottle... Pours cloudy and dark brown with mahogany highlights and a small, creamy, taupe head. Decent retention. The aroma is nutty and toasty with a splash of sherry and a smattering of dark, dried fruits. Medium to full-bodied and raspy with vibrant carbonation. The flavor is a mingling of vanilla, toastiness, caramel and liquor. Boozy, dry, astringent finish. Bottle courtesy of newcigarz! Sarlacc83 (2287) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 19, 2014

Bottle. Colour...dark brown with a moderately thick off white head. Nose...ultra roasty and mosty toasty! There’s gobs of dark malts and caramel here with some dark vine fruits, molasses, fig paste and treacle. The feel is moderately thick and coating with burnt sugar and turbinado. The finish here is long and warming. cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 7, 2013

32oz Fliptop bottle... Poured dark near black with a thin, khaki head. Nice drinking german-style beer. Toasted sweetness with some smoke and dark grains and sugars. Not totally complex by fits the bill for the style. Nice Laurelwood winter seasonal and can’t complain about this one.
