COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This strong ale is as rich and complex as it is drinkable. A blend of six malts and four hops creates an ale with deep carmel character, spicy hop flavor and a dry roasty finish. It’s spelled differently because it’s Vonderful.

Bomber thanks to MikeJ. Pours a dark brown color with a medium beige head. A sweet nose of roast and chocolates. The flavor really comes in like a nice Porter with roast, coffee, deep sweet malts, dry, light earth. Very enjoyable, I’d like to try this again. Something between a BW and Porter.

Dark brown, thin brown head. Caramel and molasses aroma. Rich dark malt and some plumminess. PNW hoppiness in the finish. Spicy and herbal character with loads of bitterness. Great balance of flavours.

3fourths (9357) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 14, 2006
Draft at the Laurelwood NW Public House. Has a dark purple, brown and red colored body with a tan, thin head. Rich and creamy up front, very hoppy over the middle and on the back of the tongue, reminds me of the hop level seen in Bigfoot. Hoppy, spicy, peppery on the tongue. Doesn’t blow me away, but it’s a nice winter beer no doubt.

22oz bottle pours a translucent, garnet amber with some spitty, off white head. Nose has mild spice, malt, a little bread, mild raisin. Flavor has orange, raisin, mild soap, malt, mild spice. Finishes a bit oily.

22. Pours a murky dark brown with plenty of dense, somewhat creamy tan head. Falls quickly away leaving virtually no lace. Rich sweet earthy pine nose--a little bit of brown bread in there, but otherwise a lovely walk in the woods. Creamy medium body with perfectly placed refreshment-level carbonation. Toast, earth, bits of roast, and plenty of pine on the mid-palate. Like a brown ale recipe that went through some sort of alchemical fusion with a great APA, or something. Nice resiny finish. This one is very drinkable even for having a decent heft to the body--disappears in a hurry.
