Lovely hoppy aroma, rich flavor and wonderful warm winter palette . Now this is a true winter ale, pours a lovely dark red and has the most wonderful rich hoppy flavor, perfect for those winter evening in front of the fire. Highly recommended ale and really is a Vinter Varmer. slugstout (18) - Zig Zag, Oregon, USA - NOV 13, 2007
22 oz. Limited Release bottling. Hoppy nose, with a nicely balanced taste. Malty yet crisp. Dry hop?
Festive and warming without the spice. Dangerously smoooooth.

Inviting aroma of christmas trees waft above this cola/crimson elixir with off white head. Rich and meaty, this bad boy gives you full throttle cherries, caramel, cocoa and IPA level hops. WOW! This is outstanding, and certainly my kind of beer. Rich and creamy mouthfeel with a new taste sensation in every swirl and swallow. Tremendous! This is a great beer from a great brewer. Well balanced, nice hop and malt combination. The color is nice. Good for cozying up with the one you love. Changed (463) - Ithaca, New York, USA - AUG 16, 2012
Aged 22oz with Movis. Can’t rember appearance. Aroma and flavor is dark and rich: caramel, toffee, a little hops, and a yeasty malt finish. Alcohol presence is in your face, but only ~6 in actuality. A bug, tasty beer-- my favorite winter warmer to date.

22oz bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a good-sized off-white head. Aroma is sweet dark fruits, caramel, and toffee. Flavor is nuts, caramel, toffee, dark fruits, and hops. Medium mouthfeel with a nice warmth. This is a good beer...a little under-rated IMO. Very enjoyable. VertBaconStrips (2428) - Blerkablerka, VENEZUELA - NOV 22, 2010
Medium brown, wonderful pour with light tan creamy head that never leaves. Soft sweet caramel, light milk chocolate, toffee, nice mellow citrus. Good inviting sweet bitterness paves the way for soft malts and plenty of fruits, cherry woodiness, Excellent fruit, orange, light soft yummy spice. This is really really really tasty. Mild bitterness. Soo smooth so awesome. What an excellent beer. Smooth creamy finish. Gooney (389) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 14, 2011
22 oz bottle from the brewery - Greats you with a nice, warm dark copper glow and a slightly off-white head. Hoppy aroma, but not too bitter on the flavor. This is a very good one. Makes me want to cozy up in front of a fire after a day of shredding the mountain.
