Hazy orange with a big, stiff creamy head. A touch of vinegar and a whole heap of piney hops and a bit of booziness on the nose. Strong, resinous pine dominates but a little caramel maltiness makes something of a balance. Quite thick and creamy. A sound IPA, good drinking and fresh but not eminently sessionable. I like but it’s just one of many in this part of the world. TBone (18106) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 8, 2011

Slightly hazy orange color, small white head. Very piney, flowery, maybe a bit vegetably hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Very resiny and piney, almost woody hoppyness with some citrus in the flavor. Classic double IPA, drinkability is good although flavor is not extraoridinary.
At SAVOR. Poured a hazy golden./orange color with a large white head. Aroma was heavy citrus fruits, grapefruit, floral and earthy notes. Flavor was heavy citrus notes, hoppy all to heck, and incredibly good. Huge thumbs up on this one. Reid (2610) - Salem, Oregon, USA - MAY 29, 2011
22 oz bottle from N.Salem Fred Meyers. $4.79
Nice hazy deep orange ale with a fabulous thick /rocky head..cremem coloured.
Good hop aromas floral and slightly herbal.
Very nice taste to this on..its hoppy but also very fruity ..lemony/citric bittersweet, good malt backbone.
Nice and drinkable on the palate..not too thin though and well carbonated..nice medium bitter after taste
Overall an excellent example of a more balanced PNW IPA. CampesinoTino (800) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 19, 2011
Bomber. Golden amber colored with dense white head. The aroma is a potent bouquet of floral hops and orange citrus with a bit of caramel in the background. The taste starts aggressively bitter with earthy, resiny hops and grapefruit followed by caramel malt, pine and tangerine citrus. The body is moderately carbonated and slightly creamy and finishes dry with strong hops bitterness. Overall, an excellent Pacific Northwest style IPA that packs a Double IPA’s worth of flavor into its 7.5% frame. The hops burps are a nice bonus too.

Bottle thanks to Chris before On Photon...Medium copper, light tan head that is very watery. Despite a finger of head rising its gone quickly to reveal only a few watery bubbles, no lacing...Nose of grapefruits, subtle pine hops, and a weird gym sock finish, quite disturbing...Taste is strong alcohol with pine hops. Loses most of the citrus notes, leaves the taste a little lacking. Not a huge fan of this, average overall. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - FEB 18, 2011
Orange, gold color. Nice nose, heavy orange sent. Very hopy and grass and pine notes. Yum. Hophazard (193) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 17, 2011
Pitchy resin abounds! A golden body tinged with orange and thin white head. Pine sap and tar are presented first, followed by a malt sweetness on the finish before your taste buds are dried out. A little heavier than would be expected. A very nice IPA that certainly doesn’t hold back on the hops! Crit (4049) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 6, 2011
Hazy amber, small white head.Medium citrus hop nose.Spicy citrus hop profile, good malt in back. Softly carbonated. Medium citrus hop finish johnbuck100 (306) - Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 21, 2011
22 oz bomber. Delicious highly hopped IPA. Very symbolic of NW IPAs, and one that blows away most of the rest of the world’s IPA. Recommended.
