Bottle. Amber/brown color, nice offwhite head. Vey nice roasted malt aroma, nutty, some almond, toffee notes, some coffee. Hoppy notes bringing som balance. Roasted milkchocolate flavor, malty, some coffee, vanilla notes and some hops. Malty finish, So very good, I really find everthing I want from a Dunkel in this one.

jonas (7549) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - OCT 4, 2003
Roasted coffeeish nose with some bittering hops. Dark chestnut, brown creamy head with lace. Taste has a nice roastiness to it, not overly strong though - balance is good. Medium body - quick finish and some dustyness when exhaling. The particular bottle I had was a swing-top version with a different label ("privat")and claimed to be a Naturtrübes Kellerbier - I never saw any yeast though and cannot confirm that. According to the homepage og the brewery they have done the same stunt for several of the beers in their normal product line, this will probably cause some confusion.

Sour malt combined with rye bread aroma. Very sweet and malty flavour. Very mild and smooth. Creamy feeling. Sweet sugar, quite much brown sugar. Like hvidtøl.

Test vom 5.11.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,12,11,10,11 - 11,20

Ungstrup (37230) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 8, 2004
The aroma is sweet, malty and slightly roasted. The color is a clear dark brown and it has a beutiful but disappearing head. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, wort, and a little licorice. The mouthfeel is creamy.

Koelschtrinker (20211) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 11, 2011
Malziger Antrunk in richtigem Maße. Danke an Jevers Zeuge Test vom 4.9.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,11,11,10,7,11 - 10,35
