Lubiere (13417) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2012
A deep dark with a thick brown head. In aroma, sweet dark fruits with light sweaty notes, and a bit of oxidation. In mouth, a sweet maple malt, lightly woodsy, with a light hopping, a bit of treacle, light signs of age but still decent. Shared with GRM. BB 15-11-10.

Koelschtrinker (19101) - Kln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 11, 2011
Stark schwankender Doppelbock. Danke an Jevers Zeuge. Test vom 6.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 5,10,10,12,7,11 - 10,05

markas101 (2393) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAR 24, 2010
50 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA via Winnipeg (and Germany I suppose). Toffee and yeasty-alcohol aroma. Creamy tan head, sweet with a lively finish of sweet butterscotch.

Boutip (6179) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 24, 2009
Bottle: Poured a clear deep brown color bock with a medium bubbly head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma of medium toffee malt with notes of caramel. Taste is also dominated by warm toffee notes with some caramel malt also discernible. Body is a bit thin for style with low carbonation and no alcohol was apparent. Lacking complexity and ester and body is too thin for style.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 20, 2008
Deep dark amber colored, cloudy appearance. Rich aroma, vinous aroma with nuts and chocolate, mild alcohol also present, rich aroma indeed. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is more dry-nutty with still sweet chocolate, aftertaste turns to vinous note with still nuts and mild alcohol, somehow cardboardy note, still excellent one.

kappldav123 (6039) - GERMANY - JAN 9, 2008
The bottle looks good, a little bit complex. The beer in the glass is very dark, malty and sweet aroma. The beer starts strong, but not as strong as exspected. Very oily. A modest finish, nothing special. Nevertheless a very good doppelbock.
